Does “third-party tested” mean a supplement is proven to work?
No. Quality testing and proof of benefit answer different questions. Independent testing can help check ingredients, amounts or contaminants. It does not automatically show that a supplement will produce the health result advertised. NIH Office of Dietary Supplements.
A product can contain exactly what its label says and still offer little benefit for your particular goal. The reason for taking it, the evidence and possible interactions still matter.
