Pelvic Floor Treatment
Does getting up to urinate at night mean I need pelvic-floor chair treatment?
No. Nighttime urination can have several causes, and it does not automatically mean the chair is appropriate.
Bladder symptoms, sleep, medicines and fluid habits can all matter. Reducing large amounts of fluid late in the evening may help some people without restricting necessary hydration throughout the day.
If simple changes do not help and urgency or leakage remains part of the problem, pelvic-floor-related causes are still worth discussing. A different evaluation may also be needed.
Next: Note how often you wake and whether daytime urgency or leakage occurs, then discuss the pattern with Valerie.
